Educational Psychologist - Edge of Care & Families
We are recruiting an Educational Psychologist for an exciting new initiative! The post will be based in a multi-disciplinary team within our Children's Services, Education & Learning with the aim of providing advice, guidance and evidence based therapeutic interventions alongside social work colleagues, family therapists, inclusion officers and speech and language therapists.
The applicant will have the ability to listen and offer practical solutions, an honest approach, and to support and challenge as needed to enable people to make positive changes in their lives.
If you are skilled and experienced in working with children and families, as well as having knowledge and experience of working with young people who have experienced trauma, we would like to hear from you.
You will provide support to children and young people, and their families/carers that are experiencing complex challenges in their lives with the aim of preventing:
- Unnecessary admission of children and young people into care
- Advise and support with psychological advice and interventions for schools to ensure that children are effectively engaged in school and do not add to the social and emotional complexities that they are facing
As an Educational Psychologist you will be required to work across Devon with children and young people from the area who might be living beyond its boundaries, offering an exciting opportunity for an individual who wants to make a difference for Devon children. We can offer you:
