Can you provide vital Community based therapeutic interventions, assessments, advice and guidance on psychological matters in as setting of limited resources for young people around educational needs?
A sub-tropical island of spectacular and beautiful landscapes in the South Atlantic with a warm and friendly population of 4,500, St Helena is a self-governing overseas territory of the UK. Following the opening of its international airport in October 2017, St Helena is better placed to develop both economically and socially.
This is a great opportunity to deliver education and consultancy as part of a community care approach, with assessments and supporting information for other professionals. You will develop local staff skills and pathways, and a sustainable provision of expert psychological advice and support for Saint Helena, leading psychological responses and offering expert advice during emergencies and critical incidents.
Experience of providing crisis support will therefore be essential, along with a creative and constructive solution-focused approach. Having a background of collaborative or partnership working with a multidisciplinary team within an Integrated Practice context you can deliver high quality training, INSET, or other CPD support
With university qualifications in the field of psychology plus registration as a psychologist with your relevant national body, you will have used evidence based research and be up to date with current psychological theory and research.
