Job Description

Experienced Support Worker (Male*) Required Part-time

Village location a short driving distance away from Babcary, Castle Cary, Yeovil and Shepton Mallet

My parents and I are looking for someone to help look after me, alongside my mum and other Support Buddies, within our home.

I am 18 years old and have Cerebral Palsy which means for me that I struggle a bit with walking, particularly outside; and doing fiddly things with my hands, like doing buttons, shoelaces and socks. I therefore may have to do things a bit differently, may need reminding about things I need to do, or just need a bit of help.

I love wheelchair basketball, working out, playing on my Playstation, watching Formula 1, listening to music and mixing on my decks, telling jokes, car restoration and learning interesting facts. It is really important to me that you like these things too and get teenagers!!!

I’m looking for someone to do things with every Monday and alternate Saturdays when I am not at college, including walking my dog, going to wheelchair basketball, the gym and helping me with any therapy exercises I have to do. New ideas are also welcome.

Hours of Work:

If you are interested in working on a part-time basis every Monday typically from 09:00 – 18:30, alternate Saturdays typically from 09:00 - 17:00 and extra hours during college holidays, it would be great to meet you!

Rate of Pay:

Monday to Friday: £14.00 per hour

Saturday: £19.50 per hour
