Job Description

Stephenson (MK) Trust provides education for students both male and female aged between 11 and 18 years who are either attending Stephenson Academy, the local SEN provision for students with social emotional and mental health needs, or Bridge Academy for students disengaged or excluded from mainstream education throughout Milton Keynes. We pride ourselves on delivering a high quality curriculum, truly individualised to meet the needs of our students, ensuring successful outcomes for all.

Forensic Psychologist
Salary: Range 9-10 dependent on experience £40,431 - £54,591 (FTE), actual salary £34,444 - £46,507 per annum (37 hours per week, term time only – 39 weeks). Part-time would be considered.

Our Forensic Psychologist role is a new position and an addition to our established multi-disciplinary therapeutic team which consists of Systemic and Art Psychotherapists, Social Worker, Family Support Worker, Psychodynamic Counsellor, Practitioner Psychologist and Assistant Psychologists and admin support. Our students have a range of issues requiring appropriate support and intervention, including: Offending behaviour; Sexualised behaviour; Challenging behaviour; Anger; Poor emotional regulation; Social Communication Difficulties; and Substance misuse. Some of our students come from families with a history of domestic abuse. Some of our students are already known to the Youth Offending Team, Police and Children’s Social Care. Our emphasis is on early intervention and prevention, providing opportunities for creative practice, working both with young people, their families and other agencies.
