Job Description

Cygnet Health Care is one of the UK’s largest independent providers of mental health services.  We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious forensic/clinical psychologist at our new purpose-built hospital in Coventry.

Enthusiatic and empathetic, you will be an HCPC registered psychologist with a minimum of one year’s experience.  Working as part of our friendly and dynamic multidisciplinary team, you’ll help to shape care at our new 56-bed locked service for women.  The hospital offers a range of inpatient services that include a personality disorder ward, a psychiatic intensive care ward, locked rehabilitation/high intensity support and seven transitional flatlets.

You’ll possess exceptional clinical skills and be familiar with a broad range of recovery-focused therapies.  As a confident communicator, you’ll thrive working  collaboratively as well as independently within a challenging but rewarding environment.  As a dedicated psychologist you’ll be able to show examples of your  expertise in clinical and risk assessments.  You’ll help formulate care plans and deliver group or individual interventions.  You’ll also offer training and supervision to our team and help to develop services to ensure our care is of the highest quality.  Ideally you’ll have experience of supervising assistants or trainee clinical psychologists.  You’ll also be passionate about our commitment to reducing restrictive practice and consider our core values at all times.

Cygnet Health Care offers highly competitive benefits and salary packages which include an annual bonus scheme, contributory pension scheme, free life assurance, a comprehensive employee assistance programme and discount centre, childcare vouchers and paid birthday and anniversary-of-joining-company leave. In addition we offer subsidised meals and free car parking.

We want to hear from you if you are a motivated and ambitious psychologist.  To discuss this opportunity at Cygnet Hospital Coventry, please contact Dr Jillian Peters (Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist) jillpeters@cygnethealth.co.uk
