Job Description

We are looking for Permanent Full-time or Part-time Clinical Psychologists to join our team.

We also welcome any new Associates too!

Phoenix Psychology is a well-established independent practice with a base in central Birmingham & one in  Honiley, Warwickshire although we are working remotely too. We provide therapeutic services, assessments,  consultancy, supervision, and training and specialise in working with complex trauma presentations across the lifespan whether that be children and families with complex difficulties who are supported by their local authorities, including looked after and adopted children (LAAC) or adults who have experienced complex trauma through their employment, early life, military experiences or as a result of more recent significant events.

At Phoenix Psychology we value relationships, a guiding principle which underpins every aspect of our practice. We believe that relationships facilitate psychological well-being when they are built on connection,  compassion, integrity, honesty, respect, and trust and have the aim of encouraging and supporting mutual development and growth.

This is a unique opportunity to work with an independent, forward-thinking, organically expanding practice supported by a small, friendly team of like-minded professionals. We support each other and recognise the importance of a work-life balance and respect the need for flexible and balanced working practices. We want you to experience support and room to develop professionally and personally as well as having the opportunity to help to grow and expand our practice and invest in its future.

Our team is highly skilled and committed to our work, we will support you to develop your therapy skills across modalities (CFT, ACT, CBT, EMDR, DDP, Theraplay), to develop your one to one and group therapy and assessment, alongside developing your leadership, training, and service development skills. In return, we are looking for someone who will be invested in carrying out meaningful work to genuinely support our community.  Someone driven to develop psychological mindedness in organisations to enable them to support themselves and their clients. Someone able to plan, put together and carry out bespoke packages of work and see them through to their conclusion. We are committed to promoting equality, valuing diversity, and practicing in ways that encourage reflection about power and the roles that hold.

The post will be working across a range of contracts working with both children & families as well as adults, some of which require working directly in, alongside and in partnership with a range of statutory and third sector organisations which does mean willingness to travel across the region is essential.

Expressions of interest are welcome across the grade boundaries including those who will be qualifying this year.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience
