Functional Family Therapist Supervisor
8b equivalent £49,242 - £59,964
We are seeking an experienced Psychologist or Family Therapist with strong clinical skills in working with families in acute need to lead a new Functional Family Therapy Child Welfare Service in Norfolk. This will be the second such service in the UK, so this is an exciting development. This is an outcomes-based contract for children 8-18 at risk of care entry (using a social impact bond structure) therefore the service is expected to deliver outcomes for young people and their families where care placement or custody are likely. There is a smaller cohort of young people who have entered care for whom the service will manage a return home using the FFT CW intervention.
You will lead and manage up to 6 FFT CW workers across Norfolk and embedded into the Social Care Teams in Kings Lynn, Norwich and Thetford. Working with FFT UK and FFT LLC in the USA you will follow a structured development pathway to establish yourself as a Supervisor. You will ensure fidelity to the therapeutic model through consultation, coaching and training and adherence of the site licence. You will be supported through the implementation as the service establishes a referral pathway and effective relationships with Norfolk Social Care and beyond. You will demonstrate leadership for your team and a clear ability to work with a defined intervention. You will work in partnership and be outcome focussed with good sensitivity to child protection, interagency working and complexity.
As a relatively new company Family Psychology Mutual CIC offers a rewarding career for experienced clinicians who are interested in delivering evidence-based interventions. Our company portfolio now includes Multi Systemic Therapy, Multi Systemic Therapy for Problem Sexual Behaviour and Functional Family Therapy. All staff hold a share in the company and so are equal owners of the business, employee ownership runs through the company and board. We support flexible working and mobile working. As a staff owned social enterprise our staff are our greatest asset, we will invest in you and in your career development so that you are well placed to develop your clinical practice. We will seek access to the NHS pension scheme for eligible entrants and a competitive salary and staff benefits.
