Functional Family Therapy (FFT) WORKER – London (Covering Hounslow, Richmond and Kingston)
37 hours per week £37,268 - £49,349 per annum inclusive of Outer London Weighting
Closing date: 29 July 2019
Interview date: Friday 9 August in Merton, London
We are looking for a suitably qualified professional to join our existing FFT team in London. The team has been operational since February 2018 and has developed good outcomes within an outcome-based contract. Due to the expansion the service with three Boroughs joining the existing Pan-London contract, we are looking to add an FFT worker to our South West team, based in the CAMH office in Merton. The team is located there alongside the MST team covering the South West. The work takes place in people’s homes and will mainly cover the Boroughs of Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow. The team has weekly joint supervision with the North East FFT team in Hackney Wick.
The Positive Families Partnership is made up of an exciting consortium of different organisations:
- Family Action, a national charity who are currently delivering MST in Newham, Tower Hamlets and Bexley.
- South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust, who are delivering MST in Merton and Sutton
- Family Psychology Mutual a social enterprise (spun out of a Local Authority) based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire who are already delivering FFT across five Boroughs.
- Social Finance Ltd and Bridges Fund Management Ltd are the social investment investors in the consortium.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop Functional Family Therapy in the UK and to work with an ambitious collaboration of partners.
Family Psychology Mutual is a staff owned social enterprise. Your contribution to the development and participation in how we work as a company is both welcomed and valued as we grow and expand our portfolio of evidence-based interventions.

FFT is a licenced intervention and the adherence to the model is quality assured (www.fftllc.com). This position requires out of hours and flexible working to meet families when they are available. Appreciation of the local demography and culture will be valuable.
The FFT team will be located partly in Merton CAMH offices and in a Family Action building in Hackney Wick alongside an MST team in each location. The post involves sessions carried out in the client’s home environment. The work hours can be varied with the expectation of some late evening sessions. The post holder will be travelling in their allocated Boroughs for clinical work. The team will regularly come together for supervision, business and professional meetings.
