The AECC is a distinctive and specialist Higher Education Institution, internationally recognised for providing undergraduate and postgraduate education and clinical training in chiropractic, rehabilitation and exercise science, and diagnostic ultrasound. The College has recently achieved designation for direct public funding and Taught Degree Awarding Powers, and includes diversification of educational provision as part of its 2016-2021 strategy. The College is currently in the process of applying for University College title.
About the role
As part of our diversification drive, we have commenced the process to establish a new School of Health, Exercise and Wellbeing at our campus in Bournemouth. We are looking for a Head of School, who will be responsible for leading this new development and progress new areas of academic provision and modes of delivery. In particular we are looking to develop and implement new undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
In order to lead and develop this exciting initiative, you will need to have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the Higher Education and health environments. You will be an ambitious and committed academic leader, fluent in the processes and practices of course development, and have a strong track record of relevant teaching and research. Experience of actively contributing to the development of an organisation at a senior management level will be an advantage.
As Head of School you will be a member of the College’s Senior Management Group and work directly with the Vice Principals of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies to support the College in a culture of continuous development and enhancement.
