Newly qualified? Or about to be? Have you ever considered working in a Forensic setting? We are a supportive friendly department with many opportunities for learning and the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives. We also believe in investing in our people and we will support you to develop from newly qualified band 7 to 8a in two years*. The post is a 0.8 wte post at Marlborough House, one of two of our medium male secure units and based in Milton Keynes, although other opportunities elsewhere within the forensic service may make this up to a full-time post.
Working with mentally disordered offenders can be challenging and complex but it is also highly rewarding. Yes, your skills will be tested and you will need compassion, patience and a willingness to be creative, adaptable and tenacious. In turn, we will provide you with the high quality supervision and mentoring you need to develop your own therapeutic style and practice. We can provide a variety of different model-specific supervision and the nature of our work lends itself well to longer-term therapeutic work than is commonly found elsewhere in the NHS.
Unlike most posts in secure services, this post also attracts an annual recruitment and retention payment for working in secure services.
