Who we are looking for:

The Lorna Wing Centre for Autism, Kent is looking for a highly motivated and creative psychologist with proven skills in the diagnosis and assessment of people with autism spectrum disorders, to join our multidisciplinary team and further develop their own expertise in this area and contribute to the new service development initiatives for people with autism. 

You will be able to communicate in a highly skilled and sensitive manner, information concerning the assessment, formulation and recommendations for people with complex presentations of ASDs and will support the Head of The Lorna Wing Centre with the implementation of clinical governance initiatives. 

You must have at least 1 -2 years experience of post qualification psychological work with children, young people and /or adults with a range of psychological needs and complex presentations, particularly experience of specialist psychological assessment working with children, young people and/or adults with ASDs.

Where will you be working:

The NAS Lorna Wing Centre, Kent  is located in Bromley Kent and  is a diagnostic and assessment centre for children, young people and adults with possible autism spectrum disorders.http://www.autism.org.uk/services/diagnosis.aspx

This service provides:

High quality neurodevelopmental diagnostic assessments for children, young people and adults with possible autism spectrum disorders and co-morbidities including cognitive impairments, mental health difficulties and challenging behaviours. This is a national service with international recognition and research links and also specialises in autism spectrum presentations in women and girls. It is part of the NAS Centre for Autism which aims to build capacity in the autism sector, to help innovate and develop good practice and provide a hub for greater collaboration.
