Are you a passionate, motivated clinical psychologist, counselling psychologist or CBT therapist, looking for an opportunity to develop yourself, clinically supervise and lead a team?
Buckinghamshire Healthy Minds is a nationally recognised, innovative and supportive Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Service. We provide evidence based psychological therapies for over 10,000 people with depression or anxiety disorders each year. Healthy Minds has over 150 staff including PWPs, High Intensity Therapists, referral coordinators, employment advisors, managers and administrators.
Our main bases are in High Wycombe in the south and Aylesbury in the north of the county. We also run clinics from a variety of community venues across Buckinghamshire.
Oxford Health NHS FT has a strong track record for supporting the development of psychological therapy services. The Trust has two IAPT services, a range of specialist psychological therapy services and employs over 400 psychological therapists. The Trust hosts the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre and the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology.
Healthy Minds is actively involved in research, participating in local and national studies. The service benefits from being a member of the Oxford Academic Health Sciences Network – Anxiety and Depression Network led by Professor David Clark.
Staff wellbeing is a top priority for us. We have a very active, award winning, wellbeing team within the service and work hard to ensure that a supportive, collaborative, and productive culture is in place.
You’ll lead and clinically supervise a team of IAPT clinicians. As a member of the leadership team, you’ll have special responsibility for ensuring the delivery of service, including the work of psychological wellbeing practitioners at step 2, and high intensity therapists at step 3 in our pathway. You will hold your own clinical caseload.
As a Team Leader, you’ll be a doctoral level (or equivalent) clinical psychologist, counselling psychologist or CBT Therapist able to demonstrate use of evidence-based practice, preferably in a primary care setting. Experience and knowledge of clinical supervision, management, and ability to work in a fast-paced service are key. BABCP accreditation is desirable, or you can work towards obtaining this during your first year in post. If you think you have the qualities we’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you!
