JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to work with the Children’s Resource Service in Southampton. Your role will focus on the work with our highly skilled and passionate Family Drug & Alcohol Court (FDAC) and Specialist Assessment Team.

This fixed term part-time (0.6fte) post will cover maternity leave.

The Children’s Resource Service (CRS) includes teams working with families across a range of specialist areas and our Clinical Psychologist provides reflexive and case supervision across the teams as well as the component psychology role within the established FDAC offer. The high quality of the work in the teams supported by our psychologist was highlighted in the the recent Ofsted inspection with teams valuing the psychology input in to their work.

In addition to being the clinical lead for the FDAC programme the post holder supports the development of a psychological framework for assessments and interventions within the CRS teams. This includes providing cognitive assessments, observations, and, individual and group case consultations and clinical supervision, to the assistant psychologist, CRS teams, the Pause/Phoenix workers and the Protective Parenting programme.

Ideally you will have at least two years post qualification experience working directly with complex children and families systems, employing a wide range of assessment tools and high quality psychological therapy and interventions (including CBT, DBT, ACT, Systemic). Experience with the provision of individual and group reflective supervision will be essential.

You will be registered with HCPC
