We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Reader in Clinical Psychology.

The Department operates a highly successful Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme, which also has Level 2 British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) and Intermediate Association of Family Therapy (AFT) accreditation. This appointment will help to support both this programme and the Department’s broader research and teaching ambitions. The Department of Psychology at the University of Bath is completing a significant expansion. The Department occupies a new purpose-built five storey building, containing two floors of laboratories, including state-of-the-art EEG/ERP, virtual reality, observation, psychobiology, eye-tracking, pain, cross-modal and computerised testing labs.

We are seeking applicants with demonstrable research quality and impact of relevance to clinical psychology. [Applicants who do not hold a professional qualification in clinical psychology but whose research interests are in this area are encouraged to apply.] In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise, staff were returned in different units of assessment, the largest of which (Allied Health Professions) obtained the highest REF2014 rating across the whole University. The University was ranked 12th overall in the UK in REF2014. The Department was recently ranked 1st in the Guardian league table and 2nd in the Complete University Guide, and The Times Good University Guide. More information about the Department can be found at
