The School of Psychology is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified individual as a continuing full-time Lecturer in Clinical Psychology. This position will contribute to our undergraduate teaching and our post graduate training programme in Clinical Psychology.
The School of Psychology is currently in a rebuilding phase. The School offers a broad undergraduate education in Psychology, with a range of specialised programmes at graduate level, including Masters and PhD degrees and several programmes that lead to registration as a professional psychologist.
Applications are invited from people with expertise in abnormal and clinical psychology. Responsibilities of the successful applicant will include establishing and maintaining a productive research programme, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate papers related to clinical psychology, supervising postgraduate student research, and contributing to the administration of the clinical psychology professional training programme.
Requirements include a research-based PhD in Psychology, research publications and experience in undergraduate teaching and graduate supervision, commensurate with this early-career position. NZ registration or eligibility for NZ registration as a clinical psychologist is also required.
Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$74,034 to $89,163 per year dependent on qualifications and experience. Note - the rank of Lecturer in the New Zealand university system is equivalent to the rank of Assistant Professor in the North American and some other systems.
