Lecturer in Psychology - clinical psychology or mental health specialism
School of Applied Social Science
Location: Brighton - Falmer
Salary: £35,845 to £42,792 per annum
This is an opportunity for a lecturer (teaching and research focused) with a specialism in clinical psychology or mental health to join a team with an established reputation in applied social, cultural and critical psychology.
A PhD in Psychology or a Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or near completion) is essential, as well as up-to-date, sound knowledge of clinical psychology and critical approaches to mental health. Practitioner experience is advantageous. In addition, you will have a solid knowledge of general psychology as a basis for teaching on a variety of core BPS psychology curriculum areas, across our undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes.
You must be eligible for membership of the British Psychological Society.
This is permanent, full time post and job sharers are welcome to apply. The start date would be as soon as mutually agreeable.
We recognise that there is a lot of uncertainty in the sector at present. University of Brighton is planning to deliver teaching via a blend of online and face-to-face modes in the autumn semester. Full support would be provided for delivering teaching in this way. We have a sociable and supportive staff group who meet regularly online, and this post will additionally be supported by the Psychology with Counselling Studies course team.
