Location: Brighton - Falmer

Salary: £35,845 to £42,792 per annum

Contract Length: 12 months

This is an opportunity for a lecturer (teaching and research focused) with a specialism in forensic psychology to join a team with an established reputation in applied social, forensic and applied psychology.

A PhD in Psychology or a Professional Doctorate in Psychology (or near completion) is essential, as well as up-to-date, sound knowledge of forensic psychology. In addition, you will have a solid knowledge of general psychology as a basis for teaching on a variety of core BPS psychology curriculum areas, across our undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes.

You must be eligible for membership of the British Psychological Society.

This is a full-time, fixed term, maternity cover post for 12 months and job sharers are welcome to apply. The start date would be as soon as mutually agreeable from January 2021.

We recognise that there is a lot of uncertainty in the sector at present and full support would be provided for delivering any online teaching. We have a sociable and supportive staff group who meet regularly online, and this post will additionally be supported by our excellent Forensic psychology course team.
