We are seeking to recruit two lecturers of psychology for maternity cover positions. Applications are encouraged from individuals wishing to be part of a dynamic studentcentered team of staff using contemporary approaches to teaching and learning in H.E.
You will undertake teaching and assessment duties on undergraduate and potentially postgraduate programmes within the Faculty and contribute to associated curriculum development and planning. You will undertake scholarly activity and contribute to recruitment, outreach and knowledge transfer activities where appropriate. You will be required to provide pastoral support for students and may, in addition, be asked to lead modules.
You will be expected to have knowledge of contemporary developments in particular areas of psychology and an ability to contribute to or lead modules in two or more of the following areas:
(Post 1): Quantitative Research Methods and Cognitive Psychology.
(Post 2): Quantitative and/or Qualitative Research Methods and Counselling Psychology. In addition to other expertise in Psychology such as Health Psychology.

The posts are located in the Department of Psychology and Pedagogic Science which is based in the Faculty of Sport, Allied Health and Performance Science. The Department houses a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Psychology and physical education and sports coaching. In Psychology programmes offered include BSc Psychology and MSc Psychology of Mental Health. We are looking to maintain an innovative portfolio and we have several new programmes undergoing development to start from September 2022-2023.
