About the role

The successful applicant will contribute expertise in Forensic Psychology and research methods; the ability to contribute to Social Psychology is desirable but not essential. They may also contribute to the developing postgraduate programme in Psychology. The successful candidate will enhance our growing research profile in Psychology. The role includes providing study support and dissertation supervision, as well as pastoral tutorial support when required.

About you (requirements)

You will have a BPS recognised degree and a PhD, or be nearing completion of a PhD, in a relevant subject area along with recent experience of teaching within Higher Education. In addition to expertise in Forensic Psychology, you will have knowledge and expertise that could be applied to core areas of Psychology such as Social, from Levels 4-7. You will also have experience of and/or an ability to contribute to research methods teaching and evidence of relevant research, ideally with experience of research supervision and successful bidding for research funding. Experience of module and course development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is also desirable.

You will contribute to activities such as involvement with open days and public events, building appropriate links with business and the community and be involved in moderation and other quality assurance processes. You will enjoy full access to staff development opportunities.
