Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology

Canterbury

£33,797 - £49,553 per annum

Full Time (37 hours per week)

Applications are invited for a permanent Lecturer/Senior Lecturer post in Forensic Psychology. We are looking for an individual who is a BPS and HCPC Forensic Psychologist to contribute to our BPS accredited MSc Forensic and Investigative Psychology course, with the potential to be Course Director. The post holder would also contribute to our Undergraduate and other postgraduate teaching and supervision, and engage in sustained scholarly and research activity.  Applicants do not require a PhD for this post, but should have relevant forensic psychology experience, and some experience of teaching in the University sector is desirable.  Evidence of previous research funding and knowledge exchange activity would also be an advantage. *The role is full-time but could potentially be split as part of a job share, or be considered as a part-time position should suitably qualified individuals apply.

The Role

The successful candidate(s) will lead the MSc/PGCert Forensic and Investigative Psychology courses in addition to contribute to teaching across both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, by delivering taught modules, as well as supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate student projects. The appointee will be expected to contribute to on-going curriculum development, as well as assume additional administrative roles, as appropriate.

The Person

Applicants should be a Forensic Psychologist (BPS and HCPC), have experience of teaching in the University sector, and be willing to engage in scholarly and research activity alongside teaching and supervision duties (including writing for academic publication).

The role is full-time but could potentially be split as part of a job share, or be considered as a part-time position should suitably qualified individuals apply.
