About the role

We are looking for a talented Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Psychology to join our team. The successful applicant will contribute expertise in Cognitive or Clinical Neuropsychology and will be able to contribute to both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in this area, as well as core areas of psychology, including research methods. The role includes providing study support and dissertation supervision for students, as well as pastoral tutorial support when required. The successful candidate may also contribute to the developing postgraduate programme in Psychology. They also would be expected to enhance our growing research profile in the area of Psychology.

About you (requirements)

You will have a BPS recognised degree and a PhD, or nearing completion of a PhD, in a relevant subject area along with recent experience of teaching within Higher Education. With knowledge and expertise across core areas of Psychology, you will have particular expertise in Cognitive or Clinical Neuropsychology and also have experience of and/or an ability to contribute to research methods teaching and evidence of relevant research. Depending on the stage you have reached in your career, you may also have experience of research supervision and successful bidding for research funding. Experience of module and course development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is desirable, including collaborative provision across disciplines.

You will be expected to contribute to activities such as involvement with open days and public events, building appropriate links with business and the community and you will be involved in moderation and other quality assurance processes.
