Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Psychology

(Occupational/Organisational)

Lecturer - £34,520 to £38,833 per annum, pro rata

Senior Lecturer - £39,992 to £47.722 per annum, pro rata

Part time – 0.6fte

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Psychology to join the expanding team of academic staff in the Psychology Department.  This is an exciting time to be joining the Department as we build on our successful student recruitment and growing research presence.

The Psychology Department currently offers an established portfolio of British Psychological Society accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and we will be launching a new accredited MSc in Occupational Psychology (subject to recruitment) in September 2018. We have research strengths in the area of Health, Work and Well-Being; Culture, Identity and Politics; Childhood and Youth Psychology, Forensic and Investigative Psychology; and Brain and Cognition. We also have a number of PhD students engaged in these areas.

The post holder will participate fully in the Psychology Department’s range of teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate), research and knowledge exchange activities and will have  expertise in Occupational/Organisational Psychology (particularly applied aspects).

It is expected that the candidate will take up the post as soon as possible after 1 March 2018.
