Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in Sport Psychology

Southampton Solent University is a modern University with an emphasis on social justice and the integration of theory and practice to offer real world learning informed by our research and knowledge exchange.  We received the maximum five stars for teaching and inclusivity in the 2017 QS world rankings, were ranked by the Economist as the 12th best British university for boosting graduate earnings and were recently awarded our own research degree awarding powers.  It’s an exciting time to join the School of Sport, Health and Social Sciences as we continue growing our provision into new curriculum areas, developing our post-graduate offer and building our reputation for research and innovation.

We are looking to recruit a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Sport Psychology to join us before we recruit our first intake in September 2018 to the new BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Psychology.  The successful candidate will have a first degree, higher degree and experience working within the industry.  You will be a graduate member of BPS and will ideally be professionally accredited as a HCPC Practitioner Sport and Exercise Psychologist/BASES accredited sport psychologist.  You will support the development of the programme, our research profile and enhance our reputation. The successful candidate will be required to plan, prepare, deliver and assess students on the BSc Sport and Exercise Psychology and across our broader psychology and sports psychology provision.  You will need to engage in a range of research, innovation and knowledge exchange activities.
