The University of East Anglia (UEA), School of Psychology (www.uea.ac.uk/psy) was formed in 2012 and is the first new School of Psychology in a research-intensive university for over 20 years. UEA has invested substantially in the new school, with many new appointments and the provision of cutting edge research facilities, building on a thriving BPS-recognised psychology BSc undergraduate programme. Already the School is ranked 9th in the Guardian league table, and in the School’s first Research Excellence Framework submission over 80% of research was graded world-leading or internationally excellent.

We seek five new appointments to complement the current psychology staff in the next phase of growth for the new school. Priority will be given to candidates that complement existing research strengths within the School and/or can demonstrate synergies with other schools/faculties, commensurate with the multidisciplinary ethos at UEA, and the world-leading facilities the Norwich Research Park affords. We also welcome interest from research teams who might offer concentrated strength in a single area.

Priority will be given to research excellence in these appointments; only candidates with a sustained record of scholarly output of international excellence, research income and research leadership (for senior posts) should apply.

The successful candidates will contribute to the leadership and development of the School’s research and teaching agenda.

These posts are available on an indefinite, full-time basis from 1 April 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent qualification and be able to satisfy all other essential criteria for the role.

Further information about the School’s research profile and facilities are available at www.uea.ac.uk/psychology

Closing date for all posts: 12 noon on 23 January 2017.

Further particulars and an application form are available on our website: www.uea.ac.uk/hr/vacancies/ or Tel. 01603 593493.

The University is a Bronze Athena Swan Award holder, currently working towards Silver.
