Part time, Fixed Term for 2 Years

We are looking to recruit a part-time Lecturer to contribute to teaching on the MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology.

The MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology is a one-year course with teaching on Mondays and Tuesdays during the Autumn and Spring terms.  You will be either a Chartered Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Forensic Psychologist or a HCPC Forensic Psychologist who is able to provide high quality teaching and supervision within the core team for the delivery of the MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology in the Department of Psychology, University of York.  You will have current experience as a professional Forensic Psychologist in practice at a senior level, and you will be willing to provide other related teaching and programme development as may be required.  You will be responsible (with support) for the organisation of at least one module on the course and expected to deliver high quality lectures, tutorials, seminars, and contribute towards wider supervision, assessment, and quality assurance activities as may be necessary. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other members of the team and in the wider department, and effectively contribute to the provision of and/or lead on the continued development of an effective teaching programme.  Additionally, you will contribute towards the development of placement or volunteering opportunities for students on the programme, and to enhance student employability as forensic psychologists.

 We will expect exceptional organisational and communication skills, evidence of high levels of competency as a Forensic Psychologist, ability to deliver high quality lectures and supervision, excellent networking skills coupled with the ability to be an active and encouraging member of the team. This post is part time, available at either 7.40 hours per week (20% FTE) or 14.80 hours per week (40% FTE), and fixed term for a period of 2 years.
