Join our highly supportive team where you will be helping to teach passionate and aspirational postgraduate students in Clinical Psychology who will want to learn from you about putting theory into practice. This post is a good opportunity for clinical psychologists or cognitive behaviour therapists with a degree in psychology looking to expand their experience and professional development through a role in teaching and training.

You will join us close to the start of the 2021/22 intake, but with flexibility in both the start date and your work hours we will look to provide you the balance you need. Where required, we are keen to support your transition into teaching with a dedicated support team, and the time to study for a teaching qualification, as we work in a hybrid learning environment.

You will be preparing and delivering teaching for whole or parts of postgraduate teaching units. This will include developing the teaching material, delivery of lectures, seminars and tutorials, both online and in person. Alongside the supervision, assessment and marking of coursework and research dissertations, you will provide advice and support to students, as well as undertake teaching-related management and administration duties.

The MSc Applied Clinical Psychology is one of a suite of postgraduate programmes in applied psychology, including a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. The teams work closely together with shared teaching and learning opportunities.

With a degree in psychology and a post graduate qualification in Psychology (Clinical) or a postgraduate qualification in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), you will ideally be registered as a practitioner with the HCPC and/or a member of the BPS Division of Clinical Psychology and/or a registered practitioner with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP). 

With strong communication skills, you will have a breadth and depth of knowledge to lead course development and scholarship activities.

You will enjoy teaching and bring with you experience within a practice environment or with a focus on the applied nature of Clinical Psychology.

This position is currently available on a 0.2fte but we expect to be able to appoint the successful candidate at a higher part-time basis of up to 0.5fte, pending further financial review.
