The Occupational Psychologist will support the effective delivery of the PSNI's People & Culture Strategy. They will provide comprehensive psychological advice in the context of assessment and development and, when required, support other goals of the Human Resource Department. The role holder will bring their expertise to developing HR-related projects, frameworks and initiatives.
The role holder will work with their HR colleagues to ensure policies and interventions are aligned with the PSNI's People & Culture Strategy. They will deliver ongoing efficiency improvements in HR processes through innovative design. They will lead solution-focused projects to implementation, ensuring engagement and communication across the organisation. They will prepare detailed reports and business cases for new HR interventions and present these to Senior Managers in face-to-face meetings.
The role holder must have a MSc in Occupational Psychology and an Honours Degree in Psychology, recognised by the British Psychological Society. They must have three years’ experience in a similar environment including experience of providing professional HR advice to Senior Managers and other stakeholders in a complex organisation.
Applicants must be computer literate. They must have a driver's licence and a car available for official business, which will allow them to meet the requirements of the post in full.
