The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues. In April 2019, the Centre opened its new Centre of Excellence located in King’s Cross.

The Brent Targeted Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is a newly commissioned service by Brent Council, focusing on improving the wellbeing of young people in identified vulnerable groups. This Service will build on the approach of the Schools Outreach Team which has been integrated into the Brent Inclusion Service for the past five years. The Brent Targeted Mental Health and Wellbeing Service will be led by a Senior Clinician and will include three Outreach Therapists (one of whom will provide support to the Virtual School), three Wellbeing Practitioners, an Assistant Psychologist and a Team Administrator.

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist, Family Therapist or Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist for an exciting new service in the Brent area. The post-holder will have experience in working therapeutically in outreach settings and a good knowledge of current models and practice in the area of child and family mental health. Previous experience in developing and implementing service user participation in a collaborative and empowering way is desirable.

The post-holder will be based primarily at Brent Civic Centre, 32 Engineers Way, Wembley HA9 0FJ. Some attendance at meetings and supervisions will be required at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.
