1 year Fixed Term Contract
The Society aims to maximise the impact of psychology on public policy by ensuring that influential policy makers have access to the latest research and insight that psychology can offer. Our Policy Team provides policy advice and support across the Society. We focus on issues of significant public interest where psychology can add value and strive to achieve excellence in psychology education and training, research and practice.
Reporting to the Lead Policy Advisor, you will play an instrumental role in developing our ability to use evidence-based psychology to influence policy in these areas. You will advise on policy development as well as overseeing specific projects in relation to our Strategic Plan. Educated to at least Graduate level or equivalent in psychology, ideally followed by a postgraduate research qualification in psychology, and with relevant post-qualification experience, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. Although the position is based in Leicester, some out of hours work and frequent travel (possibly with overnight stays) will be required.
