Salary: £49,242 to £59,964 pro rata
Hours: p/t 30 pw
We are seeking to recruit a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to lead the psychological therapists working in our in-patient adult mental health services. The post is based at our modern mental health facilities at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury. The post provides opportunities to work with both in-patients and outpatients.
First, you will provide a specialist psychological service to Opal Ward, a 20-bed mixed sex adult rehabilitation ward. You’ll also provide outpatient specialist psychological therapies for adults with autistic spectrum disorder as part of our multidisciplinary ASD diagnostic and treatment service.
You should be a suitably qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with HCPC registration. You will have experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be able to supervise qualified, trainee and assistant psychologists. You will be able to offer specialist psychological assessments and interventions to adults with complex mental health disorders. You will also provide leadership for the psychological therapists working in our in-patient wards.
You will have regular clinical supervision and professional guidance from the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead of the Psychological Therapies Pathway. You will benefit from an active CPD programme, the support of an assistant psychologist, a friendly multidisciplinary in-patient team and over 100 Psychological therapy colleagues in the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Pathway. Applications from less experienced psychologists, or psychological therapists that can demonstrate they meet the person specification, will be considered.
