The Faculty is one of the largest within the University comprising the Institute of Sport and Human Sciences, the Institute of Health and the Institute of Community and Society. With over 400 staff and 9,000 students, the Faculty has a diverse range of programmes. The Institute of Sport and Human Sciences has exceptional facilities and our commitment to research provides students with an outstanding learning environment. The teaching is informed by research and our academic staff are experts in a variety of applied and theoretical areas of Psychology. The institute offers British Psychology Society (BPS) accredited courses.

We are seeking candidates for the role of Professor of Psychology to work within our Institute of Sport and Human Sciences.  The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership within the area of psychology and have considerable experience in published peer-reviewed journals, successful grant applications and knowledge transfer.  You will have experience of post graduate supervision and successful PhD student completions as well as managing research teams and budgets.
