Job Description

The Board of Electors to the Professorship of Psychology in Social Sciences invite applications for this position from persons whose work falls within the general field of the Professorship to take up appointment on 1st October 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Candidates will have an outstanding research record of international stature in Psychology with relevance to work in social sciences including areas such as social or educational neuroscience, child development, and social psychology.

Applicants will require the vision, leadership, experience and enthusiasm to build on current strengths in the department, and to consolidate our leading research profile.  They will hold a PhD or equivalent postgraduate qualification.

Standard professorial duties include teaching and research, contribution to clinical service delivery where relevant, examining, supervision and administration.  The post holder will be expected to undertake leadership roles within the department. A competitive salary will be offered.
