An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Psychological Therapist to work as a full time member of the healthcare team in HMP & YOI Grampian.
The postholder will provide a psychological assessment and therapy service to persons who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health or substance related problems. These interventions will be in line with the Forensic Psychological Therapies Matrix. The postholder will form a key part of the Mental Health and Substance Misuse multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
The postholder will also have the opportunity to contribute to the training and clinical supervision of other health professionals and will work in collaboration with the Scottish Prison Service. The post is supported by clinical supervision from a Consultant Clinical Psychologist based in HMP & YOI Grampian.
The post will offer opportunities for professional development including the potential to undertake research, further education or psychological therapies training. There is also scope for some flexibility in working hours.
The postholder will have high level knowledge and skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
For example, the postholder will have obtained an MSc in Psychological Therapy or a PG Diploma in CBT (See Person Specification for more details). This post is based in the North East of Scotland, situated along the lovely coastline of Aberdeenshire with nearby sandy beaches and National Nature Reserve, and close to the vibrant city of Aberdeen, which has an easily accessible airport.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
