Marine Court, Littlehampton, West Sussex 
£32,548 per annum 


The Fire Fighters Charity exists to support serving and retired fire and rescue service personnel and their families in supporting their mental health, physical and social needs. We recognise that no two people are alike and work in partnership with our beneficiaries to help them achieve their potential. 

The Fire Fighters Charity works within a recovery model, our approach is person-centred and needs-led, support is focused on enabling and empowering our beneficiaries to live meaningful lives, despite any challenges that they may face. 

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Psychological Therapist to join our dynamic multi-professional team based at Marine Court, our purpose built centre in Littlehampton, West Sussex. 

Working with beneficiaries presenting with a range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression and symptoms of trauma, you will deliver brief individual and group based interventions for beneficiaries on our short term residential programme and support by telephone and online. 

To be successful, you will: 

  • Have a recognised qualification in psychology, counselling or psychotherapy 
  • Be a registered member of a recognised psychological, counselling or psychotherapy body 
  • Have experience of using a range of evidenced based brief interventions to meet different needs 
  • Have experience of integrating different therapeutic modalities / treatment approaches 

An Enhanced DBS check will be required prior to commencing your role. 

It is essential that you are confident working independently using your experience gained to ensure the individual needs of the beneficiaries are met. In addition, it is desirable that you will also be experienced delivering psycho-educational workshops and have experience in evidence based brief interventions for post traumatic stress.
