Knowing that you’re making a difference to people’s lives is rewarding in itself. But our many roles offer much more than that. As well as helping you grow and develop your talent, we want you to feel proud of where you work and what you do.

We are currently recruiting for a full time psychologist for our male low secure ward. The unit is home to 20 bed male unit, patients with enduring mental health and personality difficulties, most of whom also have forensic histories.

The unit boasts a robust multi-disciplinary team where the psychologist works alongside colleagues from Psychiatry; Nursing; Occupational Therapy; and Social Work to provide high quality care.

The psychologist we are looking for will be experienced in assessment and formulation to help determine the treatment needs of individual service users. The role also includes providing training to staff, facilitating reflective practice, completing risk assessments and providing individual and group interventions, to meet the needs of the population.

There is a large established and supportive psychology team across the region to provide the backdrop to the work on the units.

We are looking for someone with a creative and compassionate approach, with an enthusiasm for improving the quality of life of our service users both whilst they are in our care and as they progress to less restrictive environments.
