Job Description

Psychometrics Trained Psychologists (RQTU)

Location: UK nationwide

Part time / full time and flexible positions available

Opportunities are available at Genius Within CIC for psychologists who are competent and Registered Test Users, for the positive assessment of neurodiverse conditions.

Genius Within is a national social enterprise working with children, NEETs, students, employees and people who are unemployed or incarcerated.  Our award-winning positive assessment process was featured on the BBC documentary ‘Employable Me’ and we are committed to ensuring that neurodiverse talents are acknowledged and difficulties accommodated.

Our positive assessments are used in Universities, Occupational Health, Schools, Communities and Prisons UK wide. We also take private referrals.  The role includes use of Weschler tests and more specific assessment tools. Equipment is provided to employees but not associates (though we can help if this is a barrier). Our associate network offers free supervision as well as a wide range of CPD and relevant research digests.  We have an active peer discussion forum with 150 members including our professional workplace coaching colleagues and social inclusion teams.

Genius Within is led by CEO Nancy Doyle and our Head of Psychology is Alyson Hollway.  Both Occupational Psychologists, Nancy and Alyson have dedicated their careers to social inclusion.  Genius Within is a values-driven organisation, we invest in research and innovation and seek to expand the evidence base related to our work.

Job description

For trainee and employee positions, an MSc in Psychology and RQTU status is the minimum qualification.   We can provide free training in specific interpretation of test results for the purposes of neurodiversity assessment.

For associate work in Occupational Settings, HCPC registration is a pre-requisite, but again we are happy to provide training for those seeking to add a skill to their portfolio.

Over the past seven years we’ve found that the most important characteristics are a positive regard for neurodiversity, a commitment to inclusion and passion to contribute to the company mission and wider campaign. We can train skills, values are harder!
