Reader in Clinical Psychology/ Psychological Therapies
£49,772 to £55,998 per annum
Applications are invited for a Reader in Clinical Psychology/ Psychological Therapies in the School of Health in Social Science. The University wishes to appoint to this post a clinical psychologist and/or research psychological therapist of the highest distinction with a proven record in research and teaching. Applications are welcome from candidates with research and clinical specialisms in applied psychology and psychological therapy research.
Contribution to course organisation, teaching and research supervision will be to students on a range of MSc programmes and the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. The Section of Clinical Psychology houses our new Centre for Applied Developmental Psychology and Mental Health, which is focused on risk and resilience in relation to mental health and wellbeing in children and young people and the development of current psychological models of emotional distress and mental health; as well as a number of active research group in the area of psychological therapies development and evaluation, psychosis, forensic and health psychology.
The successful candidate will have an outstanding record of academic leadership in research and teaching. He or she will be qualified as a practitioner psychologist (HCPC).
This is a full time (35 hours each week), open ended post.
