The Belfast ASD Assessment and Intervention Service is a community-based service for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and their families.
We provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention to children and young people and their families, consultation to staff and carers, training for parents and staff, research, audit and service development opportunities.
We are a multi-disciplinary team, which works closely with the voluntary sector, as this allows us to be creative and innovative and maximise our resources. Our team consists of autism intervention therapists and assistants, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists and speech and language therapists. All our staff have specific training, knowledge and experience in working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
In BAAIS we are passionate about the provision of high quality, easy to access psychology services and are now looking for a HCPC registered psychologist with specific experience of working with children and young people with ASD to join our welcoming, dynamic and growing team.
The post holder will work in a lead role in delivering the Clinical Psychology Service through the provision of support to children and young people with ASD and their families and supervision of staff. This will include the delivery of specialist psychological assessment and intervention. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Trust’s policies and procedures.
