Senior Business Psychologist, Global Assessment & Development Practice

Primary location: London, UK but negotiable

Description: As a senior business psychologist within Egon Zehnder’s global team you should be highly curious and passionate about business psychology, in particular the assessment and development of senior leaders and the identification of successors for senior roles. You will provide both psychological and commercial insights based on your experience working at senior levels. Working alongside clients, regional consultants and the global assessment and development team, you will provide expert advice on how to bring deeper insight on assessment activities to address client needs. Further, your input and judgment will help us stay competitive and current by supporting product development and the creation of innovative assessment and development methodologies and tools. In order to do so, knowledge of the competitive landscape and how to differentiate Egon Zehnder in the market is essential.

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide an expert and client focused perspective based on the newest and most valid research/methods/tools
  • Build rapport with colleagues and clients, operating as a trusted expert advisor
  • Partner with local teams internally to identify client need and choose appropriate approach including assessment and framework deliverables
  • Support and participate in business development opportunities
  • Identify areas for improvement in current assessment and development tools/methods and design/implement new approaches
  • Contribute a perspective on EZ differentiators relative to client needs and competitor offerings
  • Execute on client assessments (interviews, references, psychometric insights)
  • Design and facilitate team training and workshops
  • Support clients in their review of workforce development
  • Provide sound commercial judgement, ensuring we undertake high-quality projects leading to the development of long-term client relationships
  • Stay up to date with industry trends through continuous research

We are looking for the following qualifications/experience:

  • 10 years’ experience working in the organisational or talent space, with a passion for people.
  • Previous experience from a top-tier consulting firm preferred
  • PhD in a psychology-related field (though business/organizational psychology is preferred)
  • Advanced data analytics skills (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Ability to analyse information and provide workable solutions to the client
  • Accredited in psychometric assessment tools, preferably 16PF, Hogan and MBTI
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to deliver sensitive feedback to senior leaders, as well as engage and motivate them
  • Experience of developing and leading training/workshop sessions
  • Cultural and interpersonal sensitivity; previous experience working in a global environment
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Experience of working effectively within a team environment and managing team members
  • Publication is a plus
