Talbot Disability Services offers a specialist service for individuals with behaviours of concern or behaviours that challenge. These behaviours can be due to intellectual disability, autism, acquired brain injury, mental health difficulties or a complex combination of these. The core characteristic is that the behaviours are to such a degree that they hinder the persons full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others. Talbot Disability Services has a range of houses on the site in Stamullen as well as in the wider community with a graded level of support that ensures an individual can have a unique care pathway mapped against their evolving needs and skills. The core values of Dignity, Respect, Kindness and Engagement underpin the person-centred service we provide. The aim of the service is firstly to enhance the individual’s quality of life and second to promote more adaptive interactions between a person and their environment.
