Permanent Position

New Plymouth

Vacancy number: 092927

Taranaki is one of those magical places in the world where people come for a visit, and find they never want to leave. The wonderful natural environment with a majestic mountain at its heart, the rugged coastline world-renowned for its surf, great career opportunities, our love of art and culture, thriving cafés, and outdoor living mean it’s a fantastic place to grow your career, live, play and raise a family.

The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Team (CAMHS) provides a specialist multidisciplinary service for children and youth up to the age of 18 years. The Team works from its base site in New Plymouth and satellite clinics in Hawera & Stratford, providing comprehensive assessments, care planning, evidenced based strategies and service co-ordination for young people and their families.

A current vacancy for a CAMHS Senior Registered Clinical Psychologist (with a current APC) provides an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and work and live in Taranaki.

Taranaki DHB is committed to the application of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and its intent to improve the safety of all children. This position is a Core Children’s Worker as defined by the Act.
