Senior Human Factors Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Senior Human Factors Specialist to join our team and play a key role in influencing the development of the rail industry. Our 13-strong team of Human Factors professionals is made of psychologists and ergonomists. The team are fully integrated into the multi-disciplinary technical project teams that help to drive this industry forward. You will be conducting original research and using existing knowledge to answer challenging questions on a day-to-day basis, including helping our members and stakeholders solve real problems in the real world, and supporting the delivery of the industry Health and Safety Strategy “Leading Health and Safety on Britain’s Railways.” You will be involved across the full breadth of the human factors discipline and support the development and implementation of training courses for delivery to RSSB members and other groups.
To be successful in the role, you will have Master’s Degree in Ergonomics, Applied Psychology, Human Factors or Occupational Psychology equivalent industry experience. You will have experience in a human factors role in a safety critical industry and ideally you will be working towards becoming a registered or chartered member of the British Psychological Society or Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors.
