Hours: 17.5 per week
Salary: £42,447 to £44,660 (full-time equivalent salary) £21,223 to £22,330

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Lecturer in Counselling Psychology to deliver lectures, seminars and workshops on subjects relevant to the DPsych in Counselling Psychology. The post holder will teach and supervise trainee research on the DPsych and other RSPP programmes; will serve as Director of Studies and supervisor for doctoral candidates; and will set, assess and process written and other coursework as required by the programmes, examining theses and dissertations as required. The post holder will collaborate with the Head of Programmes, Course Leaders, and the rest of the DPsych team in overall course and module planning, and will attend Examination Boards, Programme Committee Meetings, and other meetings critical to delivering and maintaining the quality of the programme.
You must have Chartered status with the British Psychological Society and/or be an HCPC Registered practitioner psychologist. You must also hold a doctoral degree in psychology or a related field; have experience working as a practitioner psychologist, psychotherapist, and/or counsellor, preferably in an NHS setting; and will have teaching and assessment experience at postgraduate level. Ideally, you will have supervised doctoral research to successful completion.
You will be required to understand working in a multicultural environment, and must possess knowledge of the frameworks governing the psychology professions and higher education. Publications in peer reviewed journals are desirable, as is fellowship with the Higher Education Academy.
