ACER UK is currently seeking to appoint a talented and motivated Senior Research Fellow 1 (Psychometrics Research and Analysis). The Psychometrics team provides psychometrics service and support for other units within ACER, undertakes commissioned work for outside agencies, and undertakes research into fundamental psychometrics issues. Leading and participating in the work of project teams, you will be responsible for achieving relevant project objectives, making contributions to educational knowledge, policy or practice, and building knowledge in the analysis of educational assessment data. The SRF1 is also responsible for leading psychometric analysis, directing projects, leading people, and working in collaboration with both internal and external project stakeholders to deliver quality research and project outcomes.
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent postgraduate qualification (or accomplishments / experience) in relevant discipline.
This position would be a great opportunity for an expert in psychometrics with highly-developed analytical and research skills as well as excellent communication skills. Advanced skills in using packages such as R, SAS and SPSS are essential. Demonstrated ability to program in one or more programming language to automate data analysis tasks is highly desirable. The incumbent must be a natural leader with people skills and experience.
The appointment is full-time in 2 year fixed-term capacity. The successful applicant will be based at ACER UK’s London office in West Hampstead. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus 17% ACER contribution to pension.
