Job Description

Ravenswood – Fareham – Multi-Agency Stalking Intervention Programme

Band 8b – Applied Psychologist

Come, join our team…

We are now seeking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking band 8b Applied Psychologist in the Multi-Agency Stalking Intervention Programme (MASIP). This is a new post for an innovative service run in partnership with Hampshire Constabulary and Aurora New Dawn Victim Advocacy.

The Stalking Intervention Programme is a community based service, working with individuals across Hampshire who are at significant risk of, or have come into contact with, the criminal justice system due to stalking behaviours. The team will use known clinical principles to develop a range of risk management strategies, assessments, interventions and management of risks to reduce recidivism, thereby ensuring the safety of the victim. This project will run for two years alongside two other stalking intervention pilot schemes nationally.  All three projects will be co-ordinated by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, with the aim of collating information to develop an understanding of the most successful strategies for this service user group.

Southern Health is an NHS Foundation Trust, providing a range of mental health, learning disability, community health and social care services. We employ around 6,000 people in various roles, and we believe that working with us isn’t just a job, it’s a career, where your ideas are listened to, your skills and successes are valued and recognised, and the patient is at the heart of everything you do.

We understand that in order to maximise the quality of the care we provide we must invest in the development of our staff and will be keen to support with this.

For successful candidates we offer a number of excellent benefits including:

  • Forensic Lead Payment of £1,200 PA
  • An Employee Assistance Programme – offering independent advice on a wide range of issues such as; career development, finances, legal issues, family life, health, grief and loss etc.
  • Ongoing Training and Development opportunities
  • Free car parking
  • Big Brand NHS Discounts and Offers

So, if you are a person-centered, passionate and dedicated individual, able to demonstrate you have the right skills, knowledge and ability to undertake this role, then we’d like to hear from you.
