Senior Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioner and Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioner Scheme

Salary: £21-22,000

Location: London/Greater Manchester

Job Type: Full-Time

Football Beyond Borders is recruiting for a Senior Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioner and a Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioner as a part of its Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioner Scheme!

Who we are

Football Beyond Borders is an education charity which uses the power of football to inspire young people from disadvantaged communities to achieve their goals and make their voices heard through our behaviour for learning programme. We use football as an engagement tool to inspire young people to thrive at school
and achieve their goals. We work with over 1,000 young people each week who are passionate about football. We work across a range of schools in both a mainstream setting and in specialist provisions, with a focus on Key Stage 3.

Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioner Scheme

The Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioner scheme is a unique opportunity for passionate, committed and ambitious members of the community wanting to make a difference in supporting young people’s wellbeing and mental health. 1 in 6 young people today experience challenges to their mental health and wellbeing, and there is little on offer in terms of support. FBB’s early intervention programme aims to create and pioneer a more accessible, culturally competent way of delivering therapeutic support across our schools.

This scheme aims to progressively develop the ideal candidate into a fully qualified UKCP/BACP Therapeutic Practitioner through combining paid work, personal therapy and a paid training route to qualification over the 3 years. The ideal candidate will be confident in balancing training and development with working directly across our FBB Schools programme to provide tailored therapeutic support for our participants who are at risk of school exclusion.

Unusually within the space, our therapeutic interventions with young people last for a full academic year meaning you will have the opportunity to develop truly transformational relationships with your caseload. As part of the role, you will also be provided with reflective practice, personal therapy and clinical supervision by experienced Psychotherapists on our team.
