BTCT is an inclusive, forward thinking Trust which continually seeks to improve outcomes for all children, young people and their families. This new and exciting role aims to increase the accessibility for staff, parents and students to receive psychological advice and guidance to further improve our inclusive practice and provision, and develop our understanding of needs of our students.
We are therefore seeking to appoint a qualified Educational Psychologist to become a part of our wider Inclusion Trust team, working directly with staff and students between the ages of 3-18 across all of our academies. The Inclusion Trust Team is an experienced, supportive team, with a wide range of expertise in working with vulnerable children and families, colleagues and partner agencies. This new role provides the successful candidate with a unique opportunity of leading and implementing new psychological initiatives and practice across our Trust.
The successful candidate will:
- contribute to the development and direct implementation of provision for students with learning and social, emotional and mental health needs
- raise staff and parental awareness and understanding of needs through Trust wide training and apply a consultative approach with individual students, colleagues and families.
- continue their own professional development and expertise to ensure practice is current and relevant to needs of students and staff across the Trust.
- be a qualified educational psychologist registered with the HCPC, and receive supervision.
If you are passionate about making a difference for vulnerable children and young people, and feel inspired to lead and develop a new role within an existing supportive, inclusive team, we welcome your application.
