Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy by Professional Studies (DCPsych)
The DCPsych Programme is a 5 year part-time joint programme with Middlesex University. Applicants are invited to apply for the following positions – these will commence in September 2017.
Clinical Tutor/Module Leader ‘Practice and Professional Knowledge’
This Year 3 module supports candidates in their clinical work and developing engagement with research and theory, especially with regard to a relational mode of practice.
Clinical Tutor/Module Leader ‘Advanced Practice’
This Year 4 module addresses the complexity of clinical practice, related research and theory in therapeutic work. Candidates are involved in group discussion, share practice issues and challenges, and reflect on a range of matters relevant to supervision.
Teaching commitment for each post will be for a ½ day on a Friday over ten Fridays during the academic year.
Salary: Grade 8 circa £2,900.00 including marking.
Applicants will need to be able to teach at doctoral level (Level 8) and have a clinical training that is based in a psychodynamic and depth psychology approach embracing an integrative framework for practice. Marking candidate submissions is part of the teaching role. Applicants will be research active. The teaching style is one of participant involvement and a balance of the imparting of information within a relational exchange.
