Do you have the passion and ability to drive cultural change in the UK for the leading international provider of critical Industrial Services?

Whether you describe yourself as a Human Behaviours Manager, a Human Factors Specialist or an Occupational Psychologist, your role at Cape would be to take the lead on driving a cultural change programme, which directly impacts on the common behaviours, values standards and outputs which affect the business.

This is not a short-term contract to implement another new initiative. It is a permanent addition to our Operational Excellence team and is a key part of Cape’s ongoing commitment to Safety and continuous improvement across the organisation. We fully intend for the role to grow and evolve, so by joining Cape at this exciting time, you will have the opportunity to shape that future.

We believe passionately that we can achieve greater performance with the right culture, attitudes and behaviours. Since Safety is our number one priority, it will be your first project.

Our commitment to safety at work is quite simple: Zero Accidents. Our key slogan is Zero Every Day (ZED), which means that everyone leaves work as healthy as they arrived at it, with no accidents.

In practice this will mean that you are responsible for developing and implementing the ZED programme, working alongside some of our Supervisors and Managers who will coach Cape personnel on best practice and bespoke company initiatives related to Safety at work.

In order to be help Cape achieve that state of continuous improvement and operational excellence, we think that you will need the following:

  • Psychology Degree
  • Background in Sports or Occupational Psychology
  • Membership of CIEHF and / or BPS
  • Relevant experience in a similar role where you have a track record in achieving cultural and behavioural change
  • An ability to take the lead on delivering training with passion and commitment

In return we can offer you a competitive salary and package, along with personal and professional development with the opportunity to implement something truly ground-breaking as well as developing your career with the leading international provider of critical industrial services.

Cape is an international leader in the provision of essential industrial services principally to the energy and mineral resources infrastructure sectors. Our range of multi-disciplinary services includes the traditional services of access, insulation, coatings and mechanical and a range of specialist services including oil and gas storage tanks, heat exchanger replacement and refurbishment, and environmental services.

Cape was founded in 1893 as an importer and manufacturer of insulation materials. Since then we have grown steadily, both organically and through acquisition, to become the leading international multi-disciplinary service provider we are today. We now employ over 19,000 people in 30 countries, bringing expertise and experience to the full lifecycle of large secure industrial assets. We provide a global client base with a wide range of core and specialist services, principally to industrial plant operators and major international Engineering and Construction contractors both on, and off-shore.

4.    Commitment to our People

5.    One High Performing Team

We believe these values are fundamental to our vision to build a better business for the long-term and our aim to bring excellence to every aspect of every project we support.
