The Westminster Society are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Psychology graduate with a 2:1 or 1st Class Honours degree to work as a Young People’s Transition Practitioner.

You will work in as part of a team to deliver a transition service to young people aged 14 – 25 (and their families) with a learning disability or on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD), in transition, who also have a mental health difficulty and are known to CAMHS. You will be essential in developing a ‘needs led’ integrated pathway system for all young people with learning disabilities or autism requiring mental health support. You will also be required to develop a ‘tapered approach to transition’ to achieve a more integrated approach to transitions across children’s and adults services.
The successful candidate will have a good degree in Psychology and have:
- Experience of working in a service delivery role with young people aged 14-17 and/or 18-25.
- An understanding of issues faced by people with learning disabilities and / or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- An understanding of issues faced by people with mental health problems.
